Every year around this time, I think about all the things in my life that I’m grateful for.
I have an incredible, loving family, a fantastic staff, and a lot of wonderful, close friends.
There’s no doubt I’ve been very blessed.
The rugged landscape of Uganda is home to amazing wildlife – as well as healing herbs, roots and plants.
I’m also thankful to you, my readers, for all of your support over the years. You’ve allowed me to share my passion for natural healing with you — and you’ve helped me spread my message throughout the world.
There’s something else I’m grateful for. The opportunity I’ve had to travel and explore the far corners of the globe.
In fact, in just a few weeks, I’ll be heading back to Africa… my home away from home.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love spending time there. I love visiting with my family, friends and colleagues. And exploring the area’s natural beauty and wildlife.
This beautiful continent is a treasure trove of traditional healing cures. And I’m committed to uncovering as many of them as I can, so I can share them with you.
But one of the BEST parts about going back to Africa is visiting the children who benefit from the KIMBRA Foundation.
I launched the Foundation four years ago with my wife, Barbara Kimbugwe — Miss Uganda 2004-2005.
Your generous support helps fund a health clinic that treats entire families.
Since she became Miss Uganda, Barbara has devoted herself to fulltime charity work. She’s seen firsthand the death, disease and destruction that has taken place in her native home.
What is the Kimbra Foundation?
KIMBRA’s original purpose was to help the very poor children receive an education. But we quickly realized
that we needed to do more…Today, with your help, KIMBRA provides many of the basic necessities the children need… starting with health care.
We knew that without good medical care, the kids wouldn’t be able to focus on learning.
Before long, we were treating mothers, fathers, siblings… almost everyone in the village. And nothing makes me happier.
KIMBRA started out supporting three children. But today, thanks to the generous support of people like you, we are caring for numerous children.
It’s so rewarding to come back year after year and see the children growing up healthy and educated.
Let me share with you what your generous support means:
- Educational opportunities at day and boarding school… including room and board
- Medical care and access to our Health Clinic
- Clean water and sanitation
- Feminine hygiene products and toiletries
- Nutritious meals
- Shoes and school uniforms
- School books
