The buzz was incredible.
When Dr. Sears showed the audience how Terri had dropped 45 pounds by walking just 45 seconds, the audience gasped.
Normally stoic doctors with “been there, done that” demeanors suddenly were paying attention like I’ve never seen before.
If you were one of the lucky ones in attendance, you know what I’m talking about.
I tried to get a word with Dr. Sears after his talk but couldn’t get through the crowds.
Hundreds of folks followed him around for what seemed like hours. It got so out of hand, security had to ask us to move on as the crowd was blocking the entrance to the next group of speakers who could not get through the doors.
Later on, the frenzied pace continued as Dr. Sears held court in the exhibit hall. Scores of attendees stood in line to get an signed copy of his PACE book.
I almost fell off my chair when I overheard an aerobics instructor tell Dr. Sears that after 12 years of teaching aerobics, today finally convinced her that the charade was over. She wanted to become a personal PACE instructor and peppered Dr. Sears with questions on how she could do this.
Another man in his mid 40s said he was so inspired by Dr. Sears’ story about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro that he planned a mountain-climbing trip this summer.
The native fitness revolution is alive and well, and it was quite an experience to witness it first- hand in Orlando last week.
In addition to attending Dr. Sears’ talk, I was fortunate enough to meet many other doctors while at the conference. We swapped stories about where we were from, and some new ways to help get their own ideas out to the world.

I talked to at the conference are interested in sharing their medical passions with a wider audience. But they don’t have the time.Over the past few years, Dr. Sears has been able to reach millions of people in more than 163 countries with his message.
So we’ve recently started helping a few doctors take the next step.
Our mission is to help them have a bigger impact on the world.
To share better health advice to more people.
To evangelize their medical beliefs to an audience that may not have had an opportunity to ever hear them before.
We’re going to use our connections and our readership to empower their health-conscious patients and followers… to have a bigger impact on their native health.
