Built To Beat Cancer

The problem of cancer is not with our bodies. It’s that the world we were designed to live in over millions of years has changed recently. Our bodies haven’t adapted quickly enough. We can’t flush out the chemicals, toxins, and pollutants that are now present in our everyday lives as fast as we need to.

And it’s this environment that’s making our genes express themselves in ways nature never intended.

The good news is, because we’re not designed to get cancer, we know the way to fix the problem. It involves bringing your body back to the natural state of health you were designed for. I call it ortho-nutrition and I’ll tell you more about it in a minute.

I know cancer treatment can be a nightmare. I devoted the entire issue of my Confidential Cures newsletter this month to helping you avoid it. [Editor’s note: Stay tuned tomorrow to see how you can subscribe and receive Confidential Cures].

Take for example breast cancer, where incidence is exploding and mainstream medicine’s approach is failing.

When chemicals that fool your body into thinking they’re estrogen get into a woman’s bloodstream, they are metabolized by the liver and are sent on one of two pathways: C-2 or C-16.

C-2 is a potent breast cancer suppressant. Estrogen mimics that go down the C-16 pathway stimulate cells to become cancerous because the compounds bind to proteins and destroy healthy DNA. The liver accepts both estrogen and

the substances that mimic estrogen. But it sends the estrogen mimics down the C-16 pathway.

These fake estrogens are not biodegradable, so they are stored in fat cells of the breast tissue. There are around 160 of these estrogen mimics that are involved in breast cancer development.  They are in food, personal hygiene products, household cleaning products, and the environment.

Soy is a supposed wonder food. It’s in thousands of processed food products in the U.S. Yet there are an enormous number of chemicals used to process the soy. And, processed soy contains the highest concentration of isoflavones, which are plant chemicals found in legumes.

Isoflavones are an estrogen mimic and bind to the C-16 estrogen receptors that can lead to breast cancer.

In Asian countries such as Japan and China, soy is fermented. No chemicals are used and most of the isoflavones aren’t in the final product. Is it a coincidence that the incidence of breast cancer in Asian nations is famously low? There’s no way to know for sure, but it makes you wonder.

I recommend that you only eat soy products that are non-GMO and have been fermented. Your best bet is to visit a local Asian specialty store and see what imported fermented soy products they carry.

Avoiding these estrogenic foods to help return your body to a clean, healthy state is something I’ve been showing my patients how to do for over 25 years.

But it was just recently that I gave it a name. Ortho-nutrition. Ortho means to straighten out. Ortho-nutrition is a way of eating that helps you correct for the abuses and toxicities of our current environment.

It might involve taking a supplement. Maybe you have to go through a detox. In the case of estrogen mimics, it involves a 100-percent-natural nutrient that’s found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, kale and cauliflower.

It’s called DIM (Diindolylmethane), and it’s why I recommend eating those vegetables daily. DIM can cleanse your system of excess estrogen. For supplementing, I usually start patients with a 100 mg DIM capsule.

Two capsules can provide the DIM equivalent to a pound of vegetables. Both men and women can benefit from DIM. It’s one of the best ways I know of to use ortho-nutrition to protect your body.
