Millions of Cans of Cancer

Dear Reader,

If you’re a diet soda lover, here’s something to consider…

That soft drink may be refreshing but the evidence is mounting that it’s cancer in a can.

Yet, thanks to the FDA, you won’t find a label anywhere that warns of the serious risks of the artificial chemical used to make these taste so sweet without sugar. In fact, the FDA has been strangely silent about warning you.

Today, I’ll tell you about very real problems with NutraSweet, or aspartame – and how you can sweeten your favorite foods and drinks naturally and safely.

A new study not only reinforces my view that aspartame in sufficient doses is a poison that can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, and incurable cancers but also adds something new…

What’s new is the evidence that levels of NutraSweet similar to those found in diet soft drinks cause breast cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, and malignant tumors in animals.1

They also discovered a sobering fact for expecting mothers: when exposed to aspartame from fetal life onwards, the risk that your child will eventually develop life-threatening cancer increases dramatically. So if you’re pregnant, I recommend that you put that diet soft drink down – right now. And tell your young ones to do the same.

You’re probably wondering why you haven’t heard anything about this. If NutraSweet is so unsafe, American consumers would know, right?

Well they should. Yet the Food and Drug Administration has ignored numerous calls from top American scientists to review aspartame’s health risks. In fact, they’ve repeatedly rejected requests from respected researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to conduct more research.

This especially ironic when you consider that aspartame accounts for 75% of all side effects reported to the FDA’s Adverse Reaction Monitoring System (ARMS). These include nausea, vertigo

, anxiety attacks, migraines, arthritis, asthma, insomnia, memory loss, convulsions, vomiting, and chronic fatigue (among others).

As if that weren’t disturbing enough, aspartame is everywhere on supermarket shelves. You’ll find NutraSweet in over 5,000 consumer products. So be sure to check the ingredients before you buy cookies, chewing gum, ice cream, or anything labeled “sugar-free.” You may be consuming significant quantities of aspartame without realizing it.

My advice is to steer clear of any product that contains NutraSweet. If you find that you’re suffering from any of the symptoms I’ve mentioned, stop consuming any “sugar-free” products for at least 60 days and see if they go away.

If you love sweet beverages, natural fruit juices are good for you if they are fresh made.

And if you’re looking for a safe additive to make your tea or coffee sweet without sugar, consider using stevia. It’s a natural herbal sweetener, and it’s perfectly safe.

To Your Good Health,

Al Sears, MD
