Primal Nutrition

“You’ve never looked better.”

You should have seen the smile on S.D.’s face. My assistant for 8 years had never looked happier.

I was going over her bloodwork.

“You’re not even anemic anymore.”

I’m so happy for her. But the credit for getting her back to optimal health really goes to the little green secret we’ve been sharing for a few weeks now.

You see, eating and drinking whatever was available to us was good enough in our native environment.

I’ve been making these incredible green drinks for about a month now.

Except we don’t live in that world anymore.

We live in a world where we eat enough to fill our bellies, but what we eat is so deprived of nutrients our bodies don’t get enough to even reach a base of what we need for basic nutrition.

We’re full, yet starving.

So we’re all in this environment where we have to fix some of the problems created due to our bodies being deprived and polluted since conception.

My solution to these problems is the new “Hierarchy of Nutrition” that I’m developing. I wrote to you recently about the first element, “primal nutrition.”

After primal nutrition comes what I call ortho-nutrition. Ortho means to straighten out. We want to straighten out the abuses and toxicities of our current environment. So maybe you have to take a supplement. Maybe you have to go through a detox.

Next is ultra-nutrition – a way to get better than normal. These are foods and supplements that help improve strength and alertness, mobility, eyesight, memory…

And soon I’ll also be writing to you more about telo-nutrition. This is a progressive approach where we can affect the epigenome by preserving and lengthening telomeres and prolong youth.

Primal nutrition is mostly based on food. You want to try to get the nutrients you need for your biological requirements. But once you get your primal nutrition, you’re still not quite there yet.

Because of the deficiencies in today’s food, and the toxins that leach nutrition from you, you need an intervention. You need ortho-nutrition to correct for the deficiency of nutrients that has gone on throughout life.

Ortho-nutrition is more likely to be a supplement. But you want to try and correct with food whenever you can so you get nutrients that are cleansing and purifying and corrective.

What I’ve been doing for ortho-nutrition is kind of a hybrid of supplements and food.

I’ve been making myself an ortho-green drink.

They’re the most refreshing treat you can imagine. Plus I get an infusion of vegetables and antioxidants without eating pounds of food. It’s all blended down into a small package.

What I do is take whatever vegetables I choose for the day and blend them with ice into a kind of smoothie. Then I enjoy it at my own pace, without gulping down too much food.

To give you an idea, here’s the recipe I’ve been using this week:

  • 1 Lemon, Peeled
  • ¼ Cup of Cilantro
  • 2 Stalks of Celery
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1/16th Piece of Turmeric
  • ¼ Cup of Coconut Water
  • ¼ Cup of Filtered Tap Water
  • ¼ Cup of Mixed Greens
  • ¼ Cup of Bok Choy
  • ½ Cucumber
  • 4 Baby Carrots
  • ½ Cup of Ice

I got myself one of those little “Magic Bullet” blenders and it makes about three glasses. I’ve been sharing it with everyone who comes to see me in my office.

Next week I might use kale and spinach instead of mixed greens. Sometimes arugula, dandelions, broccoli. And I substitute a lime for the lemon, and an orange for the apple.

I also make an ortho-purple drink… I use parsley and ginger with beets, which turns it bright purple.

S.D. helps me make them, so she’s been drinking them too. It’s given her a nutrient boost that no drug or medicine can match, and now she’s no longer anemic.

She hasn’t changed a thing except she’s been having one of my ortho-green drinks every day. It’s a great way to replace what we’re missing from our modern diet.

One thing to remember is to keep what you blend low on the glycemic index so you don’t give yourself a blood sugar spike, which gets stored as fat. Here’s a link to my glycemic index that you can use as a guide to help you with ortho-nutrition.
