PRP Therapy For Joint Pain Relief

Prescription medications may ease your debilitating joint pain for a little while… but it won’t last.

That’s because painkillers and corticosteroids don’t treat the problem. Prescription meds only treat the symptoms. They don’t heal the joint. And they come with a long list of nasty side effects.

Corticosteroids are even worse.

What are corticosteroids?

Corticosteroids are an anti-inflammatory medicine prescribed for a wide range of conditions. It is also known as steroids.

Effects Of Corticosteroids

They cause your body to age by telling it to stop repairing itself!

At my clinic, I’ve put away my prescription pad. Instead, I offer my patients a real, long-term solution that gets to the root of the problem.

It’s called platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Or as I say, Regenerative Medicine. That’s just a fancy way of saying your body has the ability to heal itself.

The subject is so important that I’m hosting a free seminar at the Sears Institute for Anti-Aging Medicine in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, on September 29.

What does PRP involve?

PRP involves drawing a bit of your own blood and spinning it through a machine called a centrifuge to separate your platelets. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the damaged portion of the tendon or cartilage.

Platelets are the colorless cell fragments that allow your blood to clot.

More importantly, they contain hundreds of proteins called “growth factors.” It’s these natural growth factors that help injured tissues regenerate themselves.1

PRP Injections Help Improve Function And Decrease Pain

There have been a lot of studies over the past few years that show PRP injections improve function and decrease pain. Studies show PRP is effective for arthritis,2 torn muscles and ligaments,3 knee osteoarthritis 4 and damaged joint cartilage.5

I take PRP a step further. I combine it with stem cell therapy.

I take PRP a step further. I combine it with stem cell therapy.

What are stem cells?

Stem cells are the “replacement cells” you were born with. These stem cells are blank slates that can be used to replace any kind of cell that’s damaged, old or dying.

When you were younger, your body could bounce back from an injury. That’s because in our youth we have an abundant supply of stem cells. Stem cells are your master cells. They are the basic building blocks of your entire body.

And they are unlike any other human cells. Stem cells are the “raw material” that can transform themselves into every kind of human cell — from a cartilage cell to a heart cell.

I call stem cells your personal supply of healthy “replacement cells.” Your body assigns them to replace cells that are damaged, old or dying. In that way, they regenerate damaged tissue of any organ.

In other words, they help your body heal itself.

Isn’t it unethical to harvest stem cells?

Isn’t it unethical to harvest stem cells?

Scientists once thought that in order to regenerate in the body, stem cells needed to come from human embryos. We now know that’s not the case. In one of the greatest scientific discoveries, researchers found an abundant supply of stem cells in adults — hiding deep inside our fat.

This was a game-changer. It meant that stem cells could be easily and painlessly collected — from your own body. They could then be mixed with PRP and injected into damaged, degenerating joints. Allowing them to heal themselves.

Help Treat Painful Joints With Natural Herbs And Supplements

In the meantime, there are natural herbs and supplements to treat your painful joints. These treatments have been in use for hundreds — even thousands — of years around the world.

  • White willow bark. This is the original aspirin. It comes from a tree native to Europe and Asia and dates back to the ancient Egyptians. Hippocrates had his patients chew on white willow bark to reduce inflammation.

White willow bark contains salicin, the same compound found in aspirin. But white willow bark won’t upset your stomach like aspirin because your body first has to extract it from the plant’s natural fibers. That slows its release into your system.

White willow bark is available in health food stores or online. I suggest 240 mg a day.

  • Holy basil. This herb is so important that I devoted an entire chapter to it in my new book, Healing Herbs of Paradise. It contains dozens of inflammation-reducing nutrients and has a long history in treating arthritis.

Holy basil capsules are available online. Make sure the product you’re buying has at least 2.5% ursolic acid to get the anti-inflammatory effect. I suggest 150 mg three times a day.

I hope to see you at my PRP event at the Sears Institute for Anti-Aging Medicine on the 29th. To learn about special offers on products and services for those who attend the event, just click this link.
