The Common Syndrome Your Doctor Doesn’t Know

If you’ve never heard of Wilson’s Syndrome, you’re not alone. According to a recent seminar I attended, most doctors ignore its symptoms and wouldn’t know how to treat it if they did recognize it as a health problem.

Yet you may be one of the many who suffer from its symptoms. These include fatigue, low-energy and migraines.

Today, you’ll find out why this variant of an under active thyroid gland is one of the most problematic and misdiagnosed health concerns today. I’ll reveal why modern medicine and the big drug companies have only made it harder to address this misunderstood illness.

The Dangers of a Low Body Temperature

A few weeks ago, a new patient, LR, began her history with a story about her previous doctor. Her symptoms were unexplained weight gain, poor digestion, constipation, depression, fatigue and constant low-energy. She told her doctor that she thought she might have a thyroid problem.

But when her thyroid blood tests came back as “normal”,  the doctor ruled out thyroid problems. Ignoring her symptoms, he said, “Well… It can’t be your thyroid. These symptoms are probably stress related. You should see a therapist.”

When it comes to the thyroid, a simple blood test doesn’t always tell the whole story.

Sometime thyroid hormones are not active even though they are in the blood. The subtleties of hormone activity can’t be measured by the standard blood test. That’s why thyroid tests will sometimes come back “normal” even when other thyroid hormones are out of balance.

The hidden hormones activity may come to light with a more comprehensive blood test. You can have free or active portions of thyroid hormones measured. Free and total T3 and T4 will pick up more problems than the standard blood test. But even these will miss some problems that can have huge consequences for your health.

A few years ago, a researcher named Dr. Wilson made a remarkable discovery. He found that when T3 and T4 were out of balance, his patients had below average body temperatures.

You know that the optimum body temperature is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Dr. Wilson’s research showed that people with an under active thyroid consistently ran temperatures between 97.0 and 97.5.

He developed a treatment that raises your body’s temperature by “resetting” the T3 and T4 hormones. Once your temperature is back to normal, the symptoms disappear. Using this model, he’s cured hundreds – maybe thousands – of people suffering from the debilitating effects of hypothyroidism.

The Medical Establishment Turns Against a New Idea

So how did the medical establishment respond to Dr. Wilson? The American Thyroid Association, (ATA) attacked his work and his ideas. They claim his approach goes against the “established facts.” Yet, I have found that it’s an undeniable fact that a low body temperature can interfere with your metabolism. The thyroid controls your body’s temperature. When your hormones are out of balance, your temperature falls and your body has a hard time doing its job.

Because of this stress, symptoms like fatigue, depression, severe headaches, PMS, dry skin and impaired memory can wreak havoc on your life.

Remember too, that the big drug makers don’t like natural solutions. Dr. Wilson’s herbal therapy and natural hormone replacement cannot be patented. In other words, no one can make big money from this idea.

Powered by the drug industry, conventional medicine too often treats symptoms with Band-aids, without learning their underlying real cause. To detect Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, you will probably have to check your temperatures yourself. You can find kits for doing so on the Internet.
