Win the Battle Over Fats…

Dear Reader,

It’s been a year since I trekked through the jungles of Peru and discovered Sacha Inchi oil. But I am still just as excited about it as I was when I first shared it with you!

The reason Sacha Inchi is such a valuable oil is its heart-healthy Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Sacha Inchi has more ALA than any substance on earth – even wild Alaskan salmon. And it’s the best and most potent plant source of the “good fat” that has been proven to reverse heart disease, prevent strokes and even relieve symptoms of depression.

ALA is an Omega 3 fatty acid that is essential to your health. Your body uses these fats to carry out thousands of daily tasks that keep you healthy. Unfortunately, ALA cannot be produced by your body so you must get it from your food or from taking a supplement.

The use of chemicals and the increased number of processed foods in your modern diet have drastically reduced your intake of Omega 3’s. Most of the packaged foods you’ll find in the grocery store today contain high levels of Omega 6s – which your body needs as well – but they have to be in balance. Omega 6’s are the dominate form of fat that we eat today. The ratio of 6’s to 3’s in the modern diet is about 20:1. That’s 10-20 times higher than the ratio you need to stay healthy.

Even foods like meat and fish that used to contain these heart healthy Omega 3’s in our ancestors diet no longer pack the punch that they used to. Most farm raised livestock and fish live on a diet primarily made up of grain. Grain is cheap and very fattening, so it appeals to the industry. However, in denying the animals their natural diet of grass and weeds, we’re also denying ourselves of the very nutrients we need to live long and healthy lives.

An imbalance of Omega 3’s to Omega 6’s can lead to numerous health problems. ALA slows down the metabolism of Omega 6’s and works to balance the omega ratio so to reverse or prevent these problems. People who eat diets rich in ALA and other Omega 3’s have a lower risk of heart disease, cardiac death and stroke. ALA’s are also useful in lowering bad cholesterol and reducing inflammation… Unfortunately all too many of us are deficient.

Symptoms of ALA deficiency include:1

Loss of vision

High blood pressure

Learning problems

Mood swings

Inflammation

Water retention

Tingling sensations in the arms and legs

I have a safe and delicious solution for you…

Sacha Inchi oil is 50% Omega 3s by volume and is one of the easiest oils to digest so it goes to work delivering its benefits to every part of your body right away! This oil – which comes from an ancient Incan nut and grows in the Peruvian Amazon – has a mild nutty flavor and is so light and delicious that you could literally drink it right out of the bottle. It also makes a wonderful salad dressing.

To Your Good Health,

Al Sears, MD
