Six Steps to a Pure and Clean Body

We’ve had millions of years of pure, clean food and water. Changes were made in the last 100 years that are threatening to take that from us. We don’t evolve fast enough for how much our environment is changing. We weren’t designed to live in our current world of man-made chemicals, toxins and pollutants.
For instance, there was a study done that looked at the blood of babies born in American hospitals. They looked for 415 chemicals and found traces of 287 of them in the babies’ blood.1

Be Careful with Those Christmas Receipts

Hope you got all your Christmas shopping done. The stores are still open if you need to make any last-minute purchases. I’ll probably head out later to pick up a few more items myself.
But there’s something serious I want to talk to you about today. It’s more important than ever because of all the receipts you’re probably collecting this time of year.
Every receipt you get could be toxic. And the toxins on your receipts could be rubbing off onto the bills in your wallet. I’m talking about the chemical bisphenol A (BPA).

Oil Spills, Brain Tumors…What's Next?

Most Sundays, I look forward to my leisurely read of local news over breakfast. But last week, two stories on the front page of The Palm Beach Post made me lose my appetite.
One was the Gulf oil spill. The other was the cancer cluster found in my neck of the woods, in which 13 kids developed brain tumors.
Why am I talking to you about the front page of my local paper? Because these seemingly different situations mean the same thing to me.
Our world is disintegrating into a less than healthful environment. Changes are taking place that will affect your health for the rest of your life…

Did You Forget Your Shower?

Did you know that water utilities have found 315 pollutants in tap water?1 Most of my patients are already drinking filtered or bottled water. But most haven’t thought about what happens when they shower.
For many of these pollutants, there are no federal guidelines. For example, in Philadelphia, officials found 56 drugs and chemicals in treated water. It included pain meds, statins, antibiotics, and medications for mental illness and heart problems.2
There is no reliable system in place to remove these pollutants…

Sidestep This Invisible Menace That’s Making Us Fat

Conventional “diet wisdom” has been bad enough. But now there’s a new category of chemicals that’s building even fatter thighs, butts, and bellies.
I call them “obesogens.”
These invisible toxins are getting into your food and making you fat. And unless you take action, it won’t just tip the scales. You could wind up sick and diseased, too.
I’m talking about endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in your food and water.
These chemicals, which have a structure that closely resembles the hormone estrogen, go from your food into your bloodstream, where they send out the “fat command” to the cells in your body.
The bad news is that your body can’t tell the difference between these estrogen mimics and the real thing. As far as your body is concerned, these chemicals that look like estrogen are estrogen.
And whether you’re a man or a woman, too much estrogen makes you fat, slow, tired, and diseased…

Are You Eating a Gasoline Additive?

I don’t mind telling you… I hate soy. I loathe it.
Soy sucks nutrients right out of your bloodstream. It can turn a man into a woman. Soy is one of the worst crops for the environment. It destroys the soil and wrecks our ecosystem.
And now, here’s another reason to hate it even more.
Natural-food manufacturers are using a toxic chemical called hexane to process the soy in their products.1
This is the same substance that makes gasoline explode. It’s the stuff in glue that gets you high. Hexane fumes go straight to your brain and cause damage almost immediately.
Some of these foods are probably in your kitchen cupboard right now. And you probably thought they were good for you because they say “Natural” on the label.
Here’s how it’s happening…

Every ER Carries This Miracle Powder

There’s a powerful substance every hospital in the country carries in their ER to treat poison victims.
It’s so potent that one gram of it – an amount the size of your fingernail – can absorb enough toxins to fill the square footage of four tennis courts.
I’m talking about activated charcoal.
It’s a form of carbon that’s been processed into a fine, black powder. It’s odorless, tasteless, and safe to consume. And it’s more readily available than you think.

Teflon vs. My Grandmother

I love to get in the kitchen on a Sunday morning. My favorite breakfast is three eggs cooked in butter with a side of grass-fed steak. Plenty of protein and omega-3s. My family wakes up to the delicious smell, and you can’t beat the taste. We love steak and eggs.
But recently, I went back to the good old-fashioned cast-iron pots and pans my grandmother used to use. I threw out all my Teflon. As convenient as they are, I won’t use them.
The chemical that manufacturers use to prevent food from sticking is called perfluorooctanoate acid (PFOA). This substance is highly toxic to the environment and to the human body…

Mutant Fish in The Potomac

Mutant fish swimming the in Potomac River are threatening your energy levels, your sexuality – even your future.
A few days ago, a team from the US Geological Surveys reported they are finding large numbers of male fish with female traits.1 This is nothing new, but the numbers today are far higher than anyone has ever seen before.
In some Potomac tributaries, nearly all the male smallmouth bass caught in the survey were abnormal. In the Potomac itself, 7 out of 13 largemouth bass had female characteristics. Some of them were even producing eggs!
